The 3D cockpit is extremely rich in detail. Basic modelling and textures are by Alexander Emelyanov, Russia, who did a real outstanding work. All panels, switches, knobs and levers are precisely modeled. Almost all of them provide authentic functionality, many with realistic animation, where applicable. Instrument lighting and integrated lighting are tied to the electrical busses for realistic simulation of electrical failures. They can be indiviually dimmed, as in the real aircraft.
Special animated parts are the pull-down magnetic standby compass, a sliding table for each pilot which can be unfolded, side-stick and tiller only moving on the side of the pilot flying, rudder pedals. In particular the six multifunction knobs on the glareshield BARO, SPD, HDG, ALT, V/S) have realistic kinematic for push/pull and rotation. The Pilot Flying, which means YOU, can jump from the captain's seat to the FO side and back anytime. A selection of predifined custom view commnads may be assigned to keys or buttons. They will be mirrored if you as flying as co-pilot. Both pilots can toggle PFD/ND to be displayed on their left/right Display Unit (DU), the E/WD can be switched for display on one of the inner pilot DUs. E/WD will automatically appear on the SD if the top center DU should fail. By default a pilot object is displayed on the seat of the Pilot-Not-Flying. You can delect this option, so the seat appears empty. |
