The A340-200 closes the final gap in my collection of A330/A340 models. The highly detailed 2D panel includes the OH-panel and center pedestal, with a lot of systems and features.

The XP10 version comes with auto-pitch-trim, realistic engine start procedure, new APU push buttons, and highly detailed, spinning engine fans, as well as with the new Conviasa livery.

The A340-200 is almost the same aircraft as the A340-300, but with a shorter fuselage, slightly reduced weight limits and tank capacity. The A340-212 variante has an early panel with PVI, which is of particular interest, and four CFM 56-5C3 engines, each providing a take-off thrust rated at 31.200 lb., about 10% less than what the A340-313X has. This makes it it a bit more challenging to fly at MTOW.

The A340-212 comes with the liveries of South African Airlines (aquired from Lufthansa) and Conviasa. The national airline of Venezuela, Conviasa, operates one single A340-200 from it's home base Maquetia, near Caracas. It is often used for special long range charter missions to many different countries.

The manual contains many authentic data and procedures which partially apply to the real aircraft. Wherever necessary, differences of functionality between the real world planes and the digital models are mentioned.
